Welcome Bevanlee Astronomer to his new home. In the 6 months that ‘Astro’ has partnered Rebecca they have enjoyed Endurance training rides, pony club, hacking and jumping days and are embarking on his forte of a dressage career!

West Coast Acharon clocked up his 3000km of successful completions during the Gin Gin Endurance ride. He is the only stallion to have achieved this in WA. These 2 photos were taken at the ride by Christine Maroni - pre ride and post ride. To top it off, Acky and Norb won the Heavyweight division (and 2nd overall) and received Best Conditioned Horse.

Only 6 days after Gin Gin, Acky competed at the Perth Royal Show. He placed 3rd in his Halter class and won the Ridden Arabian Stallion. Truly an amazing feat!! Above photo shows Norb and 2 of his loves- Acky (of course) and his GTR racing car!

West Coast Acharon has now achieved his Supreme on the Arabian Roll of Merit.

At the recent WAAHA AGM, Acharon was awarded the perpetual trophy for the 2009 Purebred ridden Show stallion of the year!

ACKY IS GOING TO KENTUCKY!!

Norbert and Acky have made the Australian Endurance team to go to Kentucky. He will leave here early September!

Acharon and Norbert have made the LONG LIST to represent AUSTRALIA in Endurance at the WORLD EQUESTRIAN GAMES IN KENTUCKY 2010.!!

As part of the Long list requirement all horses have to compete at a 120km** or 160km*** in Kalbar, QLD on 1 May. Acky will make the long journey by plane to Qld in April to meet the team and the selectors.

Rebecca and her pony, Wendamar Red Robin have been very busy lately. They completed the 40km Endurance training ride at Gidgiegannup in June. Recently they attended an Unofficial Hack show and Rebecca was awarded Reerve Champion Rider and they won the Supreme Champion Unofficial pony of the show.

Acky finally made it by plane and truck to his destination of Kalbar, QLD to compete in the 120km**. He travelled brilliantly and arrived fit and raring to go. We stayed with Jo Hamilton- Branigan and Marty Branigan who were wonderful hosts. Acky completed the tough Kalbar course and looked a million dollars all day - pushing us round! Norb and Acky were the only long listed combination to complete the course.

West Coast Acharon achieved a brilliant time in the FEI *** 160km World Championship Qualifier on the Anzac day long weekend 2008.

Acky and Norbert rode with a UAE rider for the majority of the ride. Acharon’s time was 9hrs 47 again with very fast present times. He was awarded Best Conditioned Open Horse the following day.
